Join in the fun as we learn the basics of organic gardening, pick edible flowers, and munch our way through a guided tour of Kelowna’s new public food forest!

Learn all about how to start an organic kitchen or container garden designed for Okanagan weather, and enjoy a cooking demo of how to make healthy dressings and salads using edible flowers and unique local, organic vegetables.

We will take you on a tour through the Kelowna Public Food Forest where we will sample an array of flowers, fruits and herbs! You can even bring containers to take some herbs home with you.

Take advantage of the early bird rate of only $25, available until July 17th (registration open until July 28th). General registration is $35.  10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Kelowna Public Food Forest.

Elana is a certified Permaculture designer, and is a joint-coordinator and designer for Kelowna’s Public Food Forest, a passionate cooking teacher, and a long-term member of the Central Okanagan Food Policy Council.
