Why Growing Inspired?
Water Harvesting
Managing water on your property can be complicated. I design integrated systems that cut utility bills and moderate the hydration of your land.
Plant Specialist
Knowing plants and where to place them can be overwhelming. As a specialist in low-water, edible and indigenous plants I select plants that suit your space and tastes, and provide numerous benefits such as feeding pollinators, natural pest control, and food and medicine.
Quality Work & Care
Designing your landscape is a collaborative process where your values, goals and property needs take center stage. I stand behind my work and will be there, both during and after the design, to help guide your landscape as it evolves over time.

“I appreciate that Elana took the time to clarify our objectives, checking back in as she drew up the plan to confirm our taste in various plants and landscape features. She took the design to a level we had not conceived of… We recommend Elana without reservation.”

How the Design Process Works
1. Free Phone Consultation
We assess your property, vision and objectives to see if we are a good fit to work together.
2. Site Assessment & Consultation
We discuss the project in more detail including your values and likes and dislikes. I assess the soil quality, take measurements, and survey the typography where required.
3. Concept Design
Together, we review the concept design. I then take your feedback and refine the design.
4. Final Design
We review the final construction-ready design plan, designed to scale so it can be easily interpreted by you or a contractor.
