Xeriscape Landscape Design
Envisioning a new landscape and outdoor living space can be overwhelming when all you see is bare ground or brown grass. It’s difficult to imagine how all the elements you want and need can come together, let alone determine which plants will thrive or where to place them for the best results.
It can be frustrating when plants do not survive or when a landscaping project turns into a weedy nightmare due to a lack of expertise. With over a decade of experience using endemic (native) plants and practicing in the field of xeriscape landscaping, and nearly 20 years of experience in edible gardening, I know which plants will thrive in the extreme Okanagan climate.
If you are ready to come home to a sustainable, beautiful outdoor sanctuary that connects you with nature, you are in the right place.
I can help refine your vision and develop a comprehensive, manageable plan tailored to your lifestyle and aesthetics. The design can be implemented immediately or serve as a guide for phased landscape changes over time. From the outset, we adopt a holistic approach to ensure the new landscape works for you, benefiting both you and the environment, rather than becoming an energy or financial burden.
Work with me if you like to:
- A professional who takes the time to listen, understand, and aims to address the problem rather than offering a quick fix
- A landscape design that enhances your outdoor living space, adds beauty, and provides habitat for pollinators, butterflies and birds
- A low-maintenance, drought-tolerant landscape that is resilient to climate change
- An easy approach to design that respects your time – we pre-schedule our design meetings and can meet either online or in person
- To replace lawn with an alternative that requires less maintenance and conserves water resources
- An achievable plan that allows you to move forward with clarity, inspiration, and confidence
- A landscape that fits within your resources, including time, physical ability, and budget
